Sigil Sounds is a sonic healing practice by Rin Kim Johnstone. It is a constant devotion to experimentation through the use of sound baths, experimental noise, and guided meditation as an offering of deep love for the collective spiritual ecosystem.
let’s work together
Their practice is a collaboration + devotion to stillness: an offering to those who need to seek refuge in ease through constantly guiding back to nature, movement, and a deep gratitude for the connection of our vessel and spirit. Rin utilizes crystal and brass singing bowls, the medicine of song, the shruti box, field recordings of our plant, water, and animal siblings and an assortment of other traditional instruments.
Rin currently studies at Sage Academy of Sound under the wisdom of Leah Garnier as well as holds a certification in Tantric Meditation from Traccee Stanley.
who can i be to you?
As your healer and somatic experience facillitator it’s my soul’s journey to support you physically, spiritually and intellectually. We we speak earnestly and openly with prompting: I want to ask how I can facilitate the use of sound as a portal to better active listening. In listening to our bodies: do we need rest? What in our spirit do we need to lay down? What is our pain telling us? How can we cradle pain and make a space for our bodies to soften for a moment in safety? By integrating our body language (posture and body awareness) how can I both guide and validate your experiences and allow listening to lead to clarity of spirit?
As an athlete I have a passion for working with other atheltes and those who love to move their body and honor strength. I want to work with those in motion to support your body best in active recovery, maximizing your lung’s potential, and allowing your heard and nervous system time to decompress from all that we ask of it and that it graciously gives.
As a community member I love facillitating group events and creating a space for us to experience the intimacy and vulnerability of shared healing as an act of togetherness. How can we listen with and to one another and use this sacred - ancient - practice of music that has always brought humans closer to experience that on a cosmic level through intentional guided sound baths.
the body and being present in it are a blessing, sound healing and meditation invite us to look deeper into spirit and be present in our body, to reconnect with our breath, limbs, heart, lungs, feet, hands. it’s an invitation to feel and engage instead of numbing ourselves or utilizing tools that have been forced upon us to constantly overstimulate ourselves into disillusionment to cope with suffering. let us do hard things together.
Sigil Sounds is an invitation to:
Nourishing our relationship to stillness.
Promote ease as an anti ideology of grace.
Sound and quiet as methodologies to imagine a better world for ourselves + others and as a practice of mental clarity. Through clarity we can have fortification to better show up for ourselves and those we love. Rest with purpose and alignment. Ask difficult questions and possibly confronting the shadow when our mind is quieted: Are we waiting to feel ready to connect to our hearts? Do we oftentimes feel like sitting with our feelings and intently giving them space to be their fullest and thinking about them is overwhelming? This is an intentional space and time to meditate on how we feel and how those emotions travel through the body.
What do we stand for as shifts happen energetically? Are we better able to stand up for ourselves? To self advocate through being rested? Are we ready to open our hearts to transformation? Bring a moment of quiet in the chaos to be still and know stillness has and always will be enough.
